Head Coach Bubba Dotson

  • Coach Dotson is in his third year as head coach at North Kansas City.
  • He also serves as a physical education teacher and JV Softball Coach at the high school.
  • He is an Oak Park graduate (2009) where he excelled in baseball and football.
  • Post-graduation, Coach Dotson attended Neosho County CC in Chanute, KS, Maple Woods CC, and Missouri Western State University.
  • He played baseball all four years of college. He was a 1st Team All-American right fielder at MWSU. Post college graduation, Coach Dotson played one year professionally for the Grand Prairie Airhogs and the Schaumburg Boomers.
  • Post graduation, Coach Dotson played one year professionally for the Grand Prairie Airhogs and the Schaumberg Boomers.
  • After his playing days were over he held multiple coaching positions including varsity hitting coach at Park Hill HS (2014), Prodigy Baseball Academy (2015), and C-Team/Hitting Coach Park Hill HS (2016).
  • He was married to his high school sweetheart, Sabrina, in July 2017.

  • Coach Welker is a 2009 graduate of North Kansas City High School
  • He attended Kansas State University
  • He is the owner and operator of Poor John’s Plumbing
  • This is his fifth year coaching at North Kansas City

JV Head Coach Tim Bruns

  • Coach Bruns enters his sixth year as a coach for the baseball program
  • IB Psychology and US History teacher for 5 years.
  • Coached football for 6 years as Freshmen head coach and Varsity Defensive Assistant
  • Graduated from North Kansas City in 2008 where he played four years for baseball
  • Graduated from Northwest Missouri State in 2012 and currently pursuing a Masters in Positive Psych/Coaching from the University of Missouri – Columbia
  • Born and raised in KCMO. Lifelong Chiefs and Royals fan.
  • Blessed to be married to wife Megan Bruns for soon to be 6 years. Only daughter Charlotte will turn 4 in February.
  • Megan and Tim are expecting a son in June.

C-Team Head Coach Zach Anderson

  • Graduate from Park Hill High School
  • Lettered in football, basketball and baseball
  • Attended Kansas City Kansas CC, Southwestern Iowa CC in Creston Iowa, and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO
  • Played baseball at all schools and was named to ICCAC Regional tournament team at Southwestern Community College
  • After baseball, graduated from MWSU with a Physical Education degree
  • Coached baseball at Park Hill High previous two years as well as Prodigy Baseball Academy
