UPDATE: Monday’s Jamboree has been moved to Liberty High School

Entire event will be livestreamed (see below)

The Hornets will begin their 2020 campaign with a series of three-inning games against three tough opponents on Monday at Liberty High School.

The Hornets open up with their District rival Liberty. The Blue Jays finished 28-7 last year losing to Staley in the State sectionals. In that run, Liberty ended the Hornet’s season in the District Semi-Finals 10-3.

Next up will be the Platte County Pirates. The Pirates and the Hornets tangled in mid-April last season in Platte City with the Pirates winning 8-1.

The final three-inning contest will feature a conference foe – William Chrisman, coming off of a 7-16 record. They faces the Bears twice last year splitting the series. They will play the Bears in mid-April on the road in Independence, and then in early May at home.

These are exhibition games and there will be no admission cost – so take the afternoon off work and come out to start the baseball season out right! Make sure to wear your purple and gold!
