Comin’ in Hot – Players competing in the first annual Hornet Baseball Pickleball Tournament

Prior to tryouts and Spring officially arriving, members of the Hornet baseball community gathered at Chicken ‘N Pickle for the first annual Hornet Baseball Pickleball Tournament.

The event pitted the young and the old, the pickled, and the unpickled. A portion of the proceeds of the food and drink were donated to the baseball team along with court and equipment rental courtesy of Chicken ‘N Pickle.

Seventeen teams signed up including students and faculty from North Kansas City High School as well as parents and members of the community.
